Steve Robinson Steve is an enthusiastic and engaged young scientist with an interest in animals of all sizes. He recently completed his PhD in Zoology at the University of Western Australia. Steve’s background is in evolutionary biology and he has published numerous papers on topics relating to inbreeding using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model system.

Since completing his PhD Steve has enjoyed working as a field research assistant and has travelled extensively across the Wheatbelt in Western Australia helping to trap bees and wasps as part of a large-scale landscape ecology project. Steve is excited to be part of the Terrestrial Ecosystems team and for the opportunity to get hands on experience working with Australia’s vertebrate fauna.
